Delivery and Merchandiser Representative

Part-time (10-24hrs per week) | $20 hr

The primary responsibility of the delivery & merchandiser Representative is to build a solid relationship with our wholesale partners by servicing their cider needs. Delivering products to the accounts that placed orders for the week and to pop into other accounts and check their shelves and inventory. This role is key in building strong relationship with partners and helping us expand getting our products into retailers. You need to be as exCIDERed as we are about our presence and growth potential in the Colorado market. Please be sure to read the full details of the position below. Schedule will be primarily Mon, Tue & Fri with the possibility to pick up other days as needed.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Working with sales team to identify accounts that need deliveries and stop-ins;
  • Create strong relationships with our on- and off-premise accounts;
  • Delivery orders for the week in the form of cases and kegs (1/2 bbl & 1/6 bbl);
  • Check to see if accounts need any additional materials from SVC (i.e. Posters, Shelf Talkers, Tin Tackers, etc.)
  • Check shelves and inventory to see if they need to place an order;
  • Check accounts’ backstock inventory and stock their shelf for them, if needed;
  • Assist sales team with other tasks as needed; this may include:
    • assist with working off-site events, if available;
    • assist with sales calls, if comfortable doing so;
    • assist with identifying new account opportunities;

Work Experience

  • Previous success in the field of sales or delivery, highly desirable
  • Best-in-class customer service, required (2+ years)

Key Skills

  • Knowledge of the cider industry (preferred, but willing to train) ;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Kind and friendly demeanor – can speak comfortably and easily with strangers;
  • Strong desire to exceed expectations;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • A passion for cider and the craft beverage industry;
  • Be highly self-motivated and able to work independently (following direction from the team leader);
  • The ability to work in high-pressured and fast-paced environment, at times;

Work Environment

  • Sitting for long periods of time; spending up to an hour or longer driving to a wholesale account;
  • Heavy lifting of cases and kegs (1/6 bbls and 1/2 bbls) using a dolly;
  • Lifting, twisting, squatting, and bending throughout the day;
  • Working in all-weather conditions; includes making deliveries on snow days

Required for Consideration

  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • Background check
  • No more than 1 moving violation in the last 12 months
  • NO DUIs, or DWIs on current driving record

Open Shift Taproom & Offsite Event CiderSlinger

Part-time (0-30 hours per week) | $15.38hr + Tips

The primary responsibility of a CiderSlinger is to represent the St. Vrain Cidery (SVC) brand and educate visitors on the ciders we manufacture, wholesale and retail and on the Colorado cider industry in general.

This position gives you the opportunity to pick up ‘open shifts’ that are posted to our online scheduling system. These shifts may be working in the taproom when someone else needs time off or to drop a shift or picking up open shifts available to work off-site events such as the Boulder and Longmont Farmer’s Markets* and wholesale partner tastings.

*Other than a couple holiday markets – the farmer’s markets will reconvene in Spring of 2023.

Responsibilities for Off-Site Events:

  • Promptly greet a customer as they approach our booth/tent
  • Pour samples and full-size pours (depending on the event) and talk to folks about our products, how they are made, and where they can find us
  • Ensure the booth/tent area is always neat and clean
  • Answer questions or direct people to the right person in the organization they should speak with
  • Show appreciation when customers depart “Thank you for stopping by..”
  • Be a vital and proud part of Team Awesome and the growth and success of St. Vrain Cidery
  • Receive, and maintain, TiPs certification
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs and up to 100lbs using a dolly.
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to the opening, closing, and down time procedures checklists
  • Update checklists as needed to preserve accuracy and provide clear communication with the rest of the team

Required Skills

  • Best-in-class customer service, required (2+ years)

  • Ability to drive a passenger mini-van (Toyota Sienna), provided by SVC

  • Working in all standard Colorado weather conditions (includes snow and wind)

  • DUIs or DWIs on current driving record

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of the cider industry preferred but not required. Must be willing to learn.
  • Sales experience highly desirable

  • The ability to work in high pressured and fast paced environment while staying focused, calm and professional
