A Cider Slinger is a vital position within our small company, and works with management and ownership to ensure that everyone who enters our taproom has an experience that exceeds their expectations. Fulfilling this position requires availability to work regularly on Saturdays and Sundays, both. Shifts are generally 6 hours long. If you prefer to work longer shifts that can be arranged.

Above all else, the Cider Slinger is expected to provide best-in-class service, offering customers a unique experience in the taproom (or off-site). Engaging with people of all backgrounds and having the opportunity to educate them about our offerings, and the Colorado cider industry, is an exciting and essential function of the position. The Cider Slinger will be approachable, have a great personality, and have a desire to work with a fast-growing start-up company with a lot of growth potential.

The Cider Slinger job includes, but is not limited to:

Behind the Bar 

  • Promptly greet a customer upon walking in the door
  • Vocalize gratitude as a customer departs
  • Ensure the taproom is always neat and clean by promptly; wiping tables, clearing and cleaning glassware, straightening chairs, re-folding blankets (in winter), checking patio for cleanliness
  • When time allows, provide table service by checking in on customers at tables
  • Assess restrooms during shift
  • Clean and re-stocking as needed
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to the opening, closing, and downtime procedures checklists
  • Update checklists as needed to preserve accuracy
  • Serve as the first line of defense or solution as situations arise while working behind the bar, always consulting management and ownership as soon as situations arise
  • Be a vital part of Team Awesome and the growth and success of St. Vrain Cidery
  • Receive, and maintain TiPs certification

Brand Ambassador

PT | 3 days per week (T-Th) | $15.38 hr + goal-oriented bonuses

Part-Time Brand Ambassadors have a customer first mindset and are passionate about working with retailers and management to ensure a unique shopping experience in retail locations selling our products. In every aspect of our company, we operate in a way to exceed the customer’s expectations. Success is achieved by being a team player who is curious, resourceful, and attentive to the details.

The Brand Ambassador will drive our vehicle to a variety of store locations in the Front Range and Denver metro area to check our product appearance and ensure adequate supply in various stores. You will get to use creative juices to come up with displays and ways to make our products stand out amongst the beverage crowd. A big part of the job is maintaining great relationships with retailers and making sure we have a strong and positive presence with our retail partners and in their stores.

Brand Ambassadors are the entry point for future sales and leadership roles within St. Vrain Cidery where there is potential for quick upward promotion.

Responsibilities

The Brand Ambassador work schedule is based on customer requirements. Some of the more frequent tasks you would perform include:

  • Check-in and with manager daily to brief on plan of action and strategic route planning
  • Merchandising cases from the back room to the sales floor, filling display units or shelves with products
  • Rotating products and removing defective and out-of-date products
  • Tidying up shelves and displays and distributing/hanging promotional materials such as signs, banners, and cardboard displays
  • Transform store aisles, end caps, and displays into eye-pleasing presentations of our products, from the lowest shelf to the highest shelf
  • Represents the customer experience expectations in store
  • Provides on going feedback to Management on successes and opportunities

Required for Consideration

  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • Background check
  • No moving violations, DUIs, or DWIs on current driving record

  • Customer Focus: when you are in the stores with our customers, you help them find what they need and deliver service that exceed their expectations

  • Communication: you will be working closely with other St. Vrain Cidery team members and it’s important to communicate regularly; good communication also includes checking in and out with the store manager

PT on Weekends with FT potential | $20-$30 hour based on experience. Revenue sharing and potential equity in SVC possible for the right candidate

The Executive Food Truck Chef is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Food Truck operations while directing and participating in meal preparation on the Food Truck. To be successful in this position, you must be able to create a winning menu and have the operational know-how to build a successful food truck. You will possess strong time management, business and financial sense and stellar leadership skills. You will need to bring a passion for food truck culture and enjoy giving exceptional customer experiences.

This isn’t your typical position. We are a start-up company and we need a passionate, savvy person to help us succeed. We will offer a revenue sharing option for the right candidate. In return for helping us turn the food truck into a successful business you will receive equity in the company. Meaning, ff the food truck does well, you will do will. This is a position for someone looking to start their own small business but may not want to take on all the risks that entails. We pool the risk and the successes.  We both invest in each other’s futures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of food truck
  • Responsible for the design of and execution of an innovative menu
  • Coordinate, direct and participate in the preparation of the food. Work to ensure consistency in quality, portion and presentation
  • Create recipe book with pictures, product specification, and detailed preparation steps
  • Hire, train and supervise food truck staff
  • Ensure food truck staff members follow proper sanitation procedures
  • Maintain required records including food production, inventory, income/expense, meal counts and personnel records.
  • Plan for and purchase food as well as completing prep support as needed
  • Research vendors for best pricing and product availability
  • Maintain high level of cleanliness and kitchen maintenance
  • Work closely with public health department to maintain licenses and permits for the unit
  • Suggest equipment maintenance timelines
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards at all times in work areas and during food handling, production, and storage.
  • Ensure culinary/kitchen staff always follow SVC procedures and policies especially opening and closing procedures.
  • Achieve budget and sales expectations through active revenue enhancement.
  • Responsible for filling in shifts when other employees are unavailable

 

Position Requirements:

  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification
  • Expert knowledge of the restaurant or food truck cuisine and culture
  • Advanced culinary skills including food preparation, flavor pairings and other cooking best practices
  • Ability to develop unique recipes
  • Have experience with food trucks/mobile food preparation (or at least the passion for food trucks and mobile chef)
  • Current knowledge of trends in the food truck and restaurant industry
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state and local food handling regulations
  • Comfortable training, directing and supervising kitchen staff
  • Exceptional leadership skills, including motivation and goal-setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven history of providing best-in-class customer experiences

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Customer service experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, squat and bend for long periods of time, 8 hrs or more
  • Ability to lift overhead, push and pull required
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
  • Walk up and down stairs
