Doc & the Devil Live Music

Jim “Doc” Seely and Mark Devlin (a.k.a. “the Devil”) first met at the Buffalo Rose several years ago where their respective blues bands were sharing the billing. Fast forward to this past spring and Doc (after a recent purchase of a National Tricone Resonator) finally gave Mark a call to see if he was interested in starting an acoustic blues duo…and Mark, in true devil fashion, said “HELL YEAH!”. Thus, the dynamic blues duo of “Doc and the Devil” was born.
Mark’s punchy acoustic guitar work and harmonica, combined with Doc’s tasty slide guitar, provide a soulful underpinning for some true back-porch acoustic blues. Their vocal harmonies top everything off… giving a blues duo that is truly greater than the sum of its two parts.
Finding Phoenix is a folksy blues duo from Longmont, writing songs of hope in the midst of despair, reminding themselves and everyone else that the myth of the Phoenix is possible – to rise up from our ashes and make new ways forward.
